aba said on April 4, 2025 that cumulative domestic shipments of its Helppad 2 excretion sensor had exceeded 1,000 units. The company described use in care facilities across more than 30 Japanese prefectures.
Helppad 2 is a sheet-based system that the company says detects excretion-related odours without attaching a device to the wearer. The figures are the manufacturer’s shipment report, not a count of facilities or a verified installed-and-operating fleet. They also should not be used as evidence of effectiveness for every resident or care setting.
