Stage: Company product announcement
FAJ announced its Omutsu Monitor excretion-sensing products in a Japanese release dated August 21, 2025. The company describes combining odour, humidity and temperature sensing, with notifications through smartphones, computers or a wireless chime depending on the configuration.
The release includes facility-oriented and individual-use configurations and describes placing the sensor beneath a sheet. It is therefore relevant to diaper-care monitoring without necessarily being a sensor attached to the diaper itself. Detection accuracy, skin benefits and reductions in night rounds are company claims; WDO has not independently verified those outcomes.
