Berry nonwovens business and Glatfelter combine to form Magnera

United States

Glatfelter announced completion of its combination with Berry’s Health, Hygiene and Specialties Global Nonwovens and Films business on November 4, 2024. The transaction created Magnera, a supplier of specialty materials and nonwovens.

The launch announcement lists adult incontinence, baby care and feminine hygiene among the new company’s markets, alongside wipes and other industrial applications. It describes a combined manufacturing network of 46 facilities at that time.

The facility count covers the combined company’s hygiene and other material businesses at the time of the announcement. Adult-only production capacity, sales and operating rates are not broken out in the release.
