Attindas Hygiene Partners announced on August 26, 2026, that it had signed a binding agreement to acquire French manufacturer Activ Médical Disposable, or AMD. Completion remains subject to regulatory approval and other customary closing conditions. Attindas says the transaction would broaden its European product portfolio and customer relationships while adding manufacturing capacity and bringing production closer to customers.
AMD manufactures adult incontinence, absorbent hygiene and disposable medical products. It has production facilities in France and Spain, with nearly 300 employees serving customers in more than ten countries. Its routes to market include retailers, healthcare providers, distributors and care providers, using both AMD brands and private-label products.
Attindas describes the planned acquisition as establishing a strategic presence in France and extending its European manufacturing network. The company links it to its earlier acquisition of Italian absorbent-hygiene manufacturer S.I.L.C. and its strategy of developing a business able to serve customers across Europe. Attindas is based in Raleigh, North Carolina, and operates in adult incontinence and infant diapers.
