Saothair completes acquisition of absorbent-material supplier EAM

United States

Saothair Capital Partners announced on June 3, 2026 that it had completed the acquisition of EAM Corp. from Domtar through a newly formed affiliate. Founded in 1998 and based in Jesup, Georgia, EAM develops and manufactures nonwoven airlaid and laminated absorbent materials. Its applications include adult incontinence products, feminine hygiene, baby diapers, medical and industrial products, and food packaging.

EAM's portfolio consists of three internally developed branded platforms, built through collaboration with hygiene brands. Its operations cover product development, manufacturing and finishing. Following the acquisition, general manager Vanecia Carr will become chief executive, and Lori Venn will serve as senior vice president for sales and marketing. Absorbent-hygiene industry executive Michael Fagan is joining the board. Saothair and EAM's leadership describe plans to invest in the business, support staff, improve operations and expand capabilities. Carr says the new owner's operational experience will help advance EAM's strategic priorities while maintaining the quality, service and innovation its customers expect.
