Sweden Essity

Essity published its fourth-quarter and full-year 2025 results on January 22, 2026. Chief executive Ulrika Kolsrud identified TENA for men among strategic segments reporting strong growth, alongside advanced wound care, professional hygiene dispensers and nighttime menstrual products. The company said product launches, selective price adjustments and increased marketing helped raise market shares for more than 65% of its branded retail sales during the quarter.

Fourth-quarter group net sales fell 8.2% to SEK 34.695 billion. Organic sales declined 1.1%, comprising a 0.2% volume decline and a 0.9% price-and-mix decline. EBITA excluding items affecting comparability rose 3% to SEK 5.117 billion, with the corresponding margin increasing from 13.1% to 14.7%. For full-year 2025, net sales were SEK 138.494 billion, down 4.8%, while organic sales grew 0.9%. The annual EBITA margin excluding comparability items reached 14.1%. Essity said lower costs of goods sold supported margins and described a decentralised organisation effective January 1, 2026, together with a sales and administration savings programme intended to support faster growth.
