A printed sensor element and reusable clip detect moisture in an incontinence product and send information to an app.
Orizon supports decisions about changing absorbent products in long-term care. In their March 18, 2026 announcement, Ontex and Henkel describe a sensor element made with conductive, graphite-based ink printed on the outside of the product. A reusable clip connects to that element, detects moisture and the wearer’s position, and sends information to an app or web interface.
The useful design distinction is between the printed element on the absorbent product and the separate, reusable electronics. The companies say caregivers can view residents’ status without entering each room and use the information to support decisions about changes. Their announcement concerns a partnership for European rollout. It does not establish availability in every country or identify every compatible absorbent product.
