ABENA announced its San Special Fecal range on September 30, 2026, describing three products for different situations involving fecal incontinence. The announcement covers light soiling, heavier loss of bowel control and cases in which urinary and fecal incontinence occur together.
F1, which ABENA says will be available from the start of 2027, is intended for light soiling and small incidents. It incorporates charcoal for odor control. The company also mentions people with wounds or difficulty closing the sphincter muscle and those with chronic bowel disorders.
F3 is described for heavier soiling and people who can react to fecal incontinence. It has a green back panel intended to conceal soiling, and ABENA states that it would be available from October.
F4 is described for people who are unaware of or unable to react to an incident. ABENA presents containment, odor management and skin care as concerns addressed by the dedicated range. The article explains the differences in intended use and the separate availability dates for F1 and F3.
Update — October 11, 2026: F1 availability has been changed from August to the start of 2027 to match the current manufacturer announcement.
