NHS Supply Chain's disposable and washable continence-care framework runs from August 24, 2026, to August 23, 2028, with an option to extend for another two years. It includes 12 suppliers, four of them new to the framework, and introduces sensor technology alongside disposable and reusable products.
The listed categories include pull-on pants, all-in-one products, belted and shaped pads, fixation pants, adult and paediatric washable garments, and bed and chair protection. Sensor options include all-in-one and shaped sensor pads, clips and associated devices. NHS Supply Chain says 59 products have been added and 391 removed, with alternatives identified for every removed item.
NHS organisations can order through the online catalogue or their purchase-to-pay systems using the Stocked and eDirect supply routes. The framework also includes supplier requirements covering carbon-reduction plans, modern slavery and social value. NHS Supply Chain identifies product-use monitoring with sensors and patient-centred pad assessments among opportunities for value-based procurement, alongside a broader selection of washable products.
