Italy's ASL CN2 published a Piedmont regional notice on August 28, 2026, explaining an exceptional pharmacy distribution channel for continence supplies. The regional measure began on August 26 in cooperation with Federfarma Piemonte, with the aim of clearing accumulated orders and restoring regular deliveries to people still waiting for supplies.
The pharmacy that received each order will contact the person concerned directly and explain how to collect the products. The notice says people do not need to visit before receiving that contact. At collection, the pharmacy will provide the ordered product or, if it is not immediately available, an identical or equivalent product in terms of characteristics and function, to maintain continuity of supply.
The temporary channel will operate alongside the ordinary distribution system for as long as needed to bring the service back to normal. The region says it will monitor deliveries and outstanding orders daily, assess the measure's results and take further organisational action if necessary.
