Livedo introduces a rinse-free foam cleanser for diaper changes

Japan

Livedo announced Refre Oshiri Kirei Awa Senjo, a rinse-free foam cleanser for diaper changes, on August 3, 2026, with a launch planned for the same day. The Japanese release proposes replacing wash-and-rinse cleansing with a wipe-off process in care facilities and hospitals. Livedo links the development to staff shortages and the preparation, dilution and cleanup involved in using warm water or diluted cleansers.

The company says the foam loosens and captures dirt and can be wiped away without rinsing. The formulation combines plant-derived decyl glucoside for cleansing with ingredients including allantoin, hydrolysed hyaluronic acid and aloe extract for moisturising, and polyquaternium-51 for skin protection. Each pump dispenses 3 ml of dense foam, with a mild soap fragrance.

Livedo describes the product for night shifts and other situations with limited staff, as well as water outages where normal washing is difficult. Its proposal focuses on simplifying the cleansing process during diaper changes, including reducing the need to bring water and washing equipment to the bedside.
