Guadalupe's municipal government in Nuevo León, Mexico, reported that its family welfare agency, DIF, had assisted more than 1,700 families during the first four months of 2026. Its May 15 announcement lists 440 packs of adult diapers among the supplies distributed, alongside more than 1,700 food parcels and 234 mobility aids, including wheelchairs, walkers, walking sticks and crutches.
The report describes a handover of several kinds of assistance and places it within programmes supporting access to health, mobility and nutritious food. DIF president Blanca Treviño said the help was intended for families facing financial difficulties, health problems or physical limitations, and highlighted the difference mobility aids could make for recipients and their relatives. Residents seeking assistance are required to undergo a socioeconomic assessment at DIF Guadalupe's general offices, at Avenida Lázaro Cárdenas 500 in the Vivienda Popular neighbourhood. The figure of more than 1,700 families covers the agency's combined assistance programmes.
