Stage: Related wearable technology under development
Embrapii reported on February 2, 2026 on development of smart clothing for older people by its CEAR/UFPB unit and InovaCubo. The proposed garment combines health-related sensors with monitoring of diaper humidity and remote information for caregivers.
The announcement describes prototype development. It is relevant to continence monitoring because sensing is incorporated into a broader wearable-care system. It is not a launch announcement for a standalone smart diaper. A projected completion date does not confirm that development or commercialization has been completed.
