Case report describes smart-diaper sensing alongside treatment for incontinence-associated dermatitis

South Korea

Stage: Single-patient case report

A Korean case report published on April 7, 2025 describes use of an external MONIT diaper sensor for an adult with cognitive and mobility difficulties and incontinence-associated dermatitis. Moisture alerts informed diaper changes while antifungal treatment continued.

The authors reported improvement in skin-assessment scores. Because this was one patient receiving concurrent treatment, the report cannot isolate the sensor’s effect or establish a general treatment benefit. It illustrates a clinical use case and the need for further controlled evaluation.
