South Korea’s Ministry of Food and Drug Safety reported that the supply of adult diapers, including hygiene underpads, reached 61,418 tonnes in 2025, up about 6% from 57,806 tonnes in 2024.
The ministry’s August 5, 2026 release also puts the corresponding children’s category at 54,001 tonnes in 2025. The adult category exceeded it for a second consecutive year. These are weight-based supply figures, not counts of diapers sold or people using them. The release’s headline value for the whole hygiene-products market must not be read as adult-diaper revenue.
