Impress Watch reported on March 5, 2024 that Toray had developed a urine-detection sensor integrated into a diaper. The report describes work with diaper manufacturer Koyo and a care facility’s cooperation in checking detection during use.
At the time, Toray was aiming for practical application during fiscal 2025. That target is not evidence of a later product launch.
