INDA reports North American nonwovens capacity growth in 2024

United States

INDA released its twelfth North American Nonwovens Supply Report on May 20, 2025. The public announcement says regional capacity rose by more than 100,000 tonnes for a second consecutive year, reaching 5.730 million tonnes in 2024.

The association bases the report on producer surveys and interviews covering Canada, Mexico and the United States. Its summary says capacity continued to expand while production growth slowed, with several new installations serving long-life applications.

The capacity figure is not actual output or an adult-diaper market total. This article uses INDA’s free release; the underlying paid report and its detailed end-use breakdown have not been reviewed.
