The University of Southern Denmark lists Blesystem2030 as a research project running from February 1, 2024 to January 31, 2027. Partners include ABENA, Design School Kolding, Aarhus and Odense municipalities, and Odense Renovation.
The project addresses moderate and heavy incontinence care through hybrid diapers, with and without sensors. It studies washing and returning reusable diaper chassis, treatment or recycling of replaceable inserts, and the logistics and care workflows needed to operate the system. Environmental and economic assessments and guidance for procurement are also part of the work.
This is a research and demonstration programme, rather than evidence that a finished system has already achieved a specified environmental saving. The university record identifies the project dates but does not give an original publication date for the webpage.
