Ghana’s Food and Drugs Authority treats both baby and adult diapers as products requiring registration, according to a Ghana News Agency report dated December 18, 2025. The report quotes the FDA’s Eastern Regional Head during market-enforcement checks.
The FDA’s own medical-devices registration page lists an application form expressly covering baby and adult diapers, alongside sanitary pads and mop-up towels. This provides an official route for businesses checking how these products are registered.
The reported checks and seizures concerned baby diapers. They should not be described as an adult-diaper recall, or as evidence that Ghana introduced a new adult-diaper law in December 2025.
