Livedo Corporation announced on June 1, 2026 that Refre Smartline Smart Self Pants Pad would be renamed Refre Hitori de Rakuraku Sochaku Kami Pants Yo Pad as the Smartline range was integrated into the Refre brand for hospitals and care facilities. The scheduled launch date was June 1. The company says the new name makes the product's value of easier self-application clearer.
The pad is sized to fit inside pull-on adult diapers. Adhesive tapes at the front and back are intended to keep it in place and simplify changing, while its folded form can be opened inside the pants. The announcement also describes standing gathers that fit around the groin, a mildly acidic surface material, and a soft moisture-permeable sheet intended to let humidity escape. Livedo places the change within a growing market for dedicated pads used with pull-on diapers. Citing Intage research, it says this segment accounts for the largest share of the urine-pad market.
