Friends Overnight Diaper Pants

Why featuredOvernight pull-on construction with a rapid-absorption layer and maker-described botanical extracts.

Absorbent materials and a rapid-absorption layer in overnight pants

Friends Overnight Diaper Pants are pull-on pants intended for overnight use. The individual description names wood pulp and superabsorbent polymer, or SAP, and a rapid-absorption layer.

The maker also lists aloe vera, jojoba and chamomile extracts. Keeping the absorbent materials and layer separate from the botanical skin-care claims makes their stated roles easier to understand.

WDO highlights the combination of materials and a layer within a pull-on format. This does not establish that wood pulp or SAP is unique to the product, or independently demonstrate a skin-protection effect from the extracts.

Layer positions and counts, and the amount and placement of extracts, remain unconfirmed. Manufacturer duration and capacity statements are not treated as change intervals or skin-safety guarantees.

A South African M/L example of revised leg openings

The South African MoliCare premium Mobile 6 drops page describes a newer generation with revised leg openings, leakage barriers and anatomical fit. The starred improvements are limited to sizes M and L.

The page also describes the SkinGuard core for an instant-dry feeling, stretchy breathable materials and a wetness indicator. WDO uses this as an additional example of how the leg area is fitted around the body, alongside absorption.

In this South African example, the leg openings, leakage barriers and anatomical shape are described together as a fitting improvement. It provides a concrete example of how the leg area of an absorbent pant is designed.

Only the added example concerns South African 6-drop M/L pants. Improvements and SkinGuard effects are not transferred to other sizes or the older UK SKU, nor treated as a fixed wear-time instruction.

Washable absorbent underwear in two different cuts

TENA’s UK explainer documents washable underwear with built-in absorption. It is presented as underwear to wash and reuse, rather than disposable absorbent pants.

The page introduces Classic Brief and Hipster cuts. Classic has a higher rise, while Hipster sits below the waist.

The design allows underwear shape to be considered alongside absorption. Current UK sales and stock were not established by reviewing this explanatory page.

Relief Marude Shitagi Ultra-thin 1 mm Pants

Kao / Relief

Why featuredFlat outer surface and Kao’s specifically qualified 1 mm fabric claim.

A pull-on design with a flat outer surface. Kao’s 1 mm claim applies to the fabric over the buttocks under its stated measurement condition.

Read the design story

Thin fabric and a flat surface: Relief's underwear-like pants

Relief Marude Shitagi pants address how absorbent underwear looks beneath clothing. Kao describes thin, stretchable fabric with a flat surface, aimed at reducing a bulky outline.

The product’s “1 mm” claim concerns fabric over the buttocks under conditions equivalent to wearing; Kao describes it as 1 mm or less. It does not state the thickness of the entire pant or absorbent core.

Kao notes that appearance varies with use conditions. Its FAQ says these pants are intended to be worn without a separate urine pad and does not recommend combining one with them. The number belongs alongside that intended way of wearing the product.

The maker's 1 mm claim concerns buttock-area fabric under wearing-equivalent conditions, not the entire core or guaranteed invisibility. The FAQ does not recommend a separate pad; no combination with the aroma pad is proposed.

A skin-contact cover paired with a flexible absorbent section

Yuhan-Kimberly’s 28 August 2026 launch announcement describes changes to the skin-contact material and absorbent-pad construction of Depend Style DermaSkin Pants. Soft material and a flexible absorbent section are intended to fit close to the body.

The announcement also discusses the cover using a friction test against the company’s previous product. The design brings the skin-contact surface and absorbent-section flexibility into focus alongside absorption.

Prevail NEUTRAL Incontinence Underwear

First Quality / Prevail

Why featuredAn underwear-like appearance without light-leakage positioning.

A black high-waisted women’s pull-on listed by Prevail at maximum absorbency.

Read the design story

A high waist and contoured shape for an underwear-like appearance

NEUTRAL is an all-black women's absorbent pull-on. Prevail describes a supportive high waist, body-contouring shape and soft, breathable fabric intended to reduce visible underwear lines. Appearance and fit are central to its design.

The page lists MaxSorb Gel for absorption and Omni-Odor Guard for odour management. Its size table gives separate waist and hip ranges, allowing fit to be checked against both measurements rather than a clothing-size label alone.

The advertised protection of up to 10 hours has no original test or conditions verified here and is not a changing schedule or leak-free guarantee. Future colours mentioned in the 2024 launch article, equivalence to R-FIT and availability or suitability in Japan remain unconfirmed.

Use conditionsA supplementary liner used over a large absorbent pad.

Read the design story

A Refre sheet that holds loose stool while passing liquid to the pad below

Refre’s loose-stool leakage sheet has a different job from a urine-absorbing pad. It is placed on a large pad to help limit the spread of loose stool. The interesting design choice is to treat stool and liquid differently in the same layered arrangement.

Livedo says soft, specialised fibres catch loose stool. With no waterproof backing, liquid can pass through to the absorbent pad beneath; the maker says urine alone also passes to that pad. The listed sheet dimensions are 14 cm wide and 43.5 cm long.

The official use guide calls for a large pad underneath, the intended side toward the skin and placement inside the pad’s standing gathers. It also cautions that the amount of stool the sheet can handle is limited. This is a supporting sheet used with a pad, not a stand-alone absorbent product.

Limited to the Japan-facing official product page and use guide. Stool control and liquid passage are manufacturer descriptions, not WDO use tests. No numeric stool limit, compatibility with every pad or current stock was established. The original publication date is unknown. The product-page HTML was archived on 19 October 2026 JST; the 24 October Web-text check is not a new original-HTML capture.

Historical official introduction: fit and absorption adapted for men and women

Friends’ official UltraThinz article, published on 25 April 2023, describes slim disposable pants intended to be less visible under clothing. This is an account of that historical official introduction; current sales are unconfirmed.

The article discusses differences in waist and thigh fit and slightly different urination areas for men and women. It says these differences call for sizing changes and an adjustment of the absorbent part. The design interest goes beyond colour to how the product accommodates the body.

The article also describes a blue front marker at the waist, putting the pants on one leg at a time while seated, and tearing the sides for removal. Exact absorbent-area positions and outlines for the two versions remain unconfirmed. The record does not establish current specifications or discontinuation.

A 2022 fundraising campaign supporting respite for military caregivers

PBE's announcement of 17 November 2022 describes fundraising involving the founding family's Principle Family Fund and the Elizabeth Dole Foundation. It reports $100,000 from the Family Fund plus $195,000 from other donors, bringing the total to $295,000.

The money was designated for Respite Relief for Military and Veteran Caregivers. At the time, the program was described as providing eligible caregivers with 35 hours of free professional help at home, with an estimated 340 families benefiting directly. The example extends support beyond continence supplies to time away from caregiving duties.

Amounts and projected reach come from the 2022 announcement. Actual beneficiaries, transfers and current eligibility or availability remain unverified. The 35-hour provision is historical. The Family Fund is distinct from the employee-nominated Principle Business Fund.

Funding for local disability and family services

SILC’s Italian CSR page describes support for I Bambini delle Fate, which raises funds for local social inclusion projects. It names Fondazione Stefano ed Angela Danelli ONLUS in Lodi as a specific beneficiary and describes services supporting children and other people with disabilities, together with their families.

The project is described as sustaining activities at a multifunctional centre for needs associated with neurodevelopmental differences, neurological conditions and complex disabilities acquired through accidents or other disabling events. This is presented as community support for people and families, separate from the functions or donation of adult continence products. The activity is not adult-only, and provision of goods has not been established.

This company-support account was selected as general background. Funding amounts, dates, continuation, the adult beneficiary breakdown, provision of goods and outcomes remain unverified. Paid samples and size information before a larger purchase

Unique Wellness lists samples of its adult Superio and Absorbent Underwear products in its official Samples collection. When checked on 25 October 2026, each was listed at US$3.99. Their individual product pages include a Sample option and show two-count selections alongside waist ranges.

Linking a small quantity with size information provides an entry point for people who want to check sizing and fit before buying a larger pack. The useful detail is the ability to compare the waist range for the product being tried, rather than relying on a size name alone. Softistico was not included in the sample collection when checked.

The paid listing was checked; free distribution, accepted orders and dispatch were not verified. Shipping costs, delivery areas, taxes, the final checkout total and trial outcomes remain unconfirmed. Day Out in July 2026: a weekend of outings and customer feedback

NorthShore reports holding Day Out in Chicago on 18–19 July 2026 for Hero Club members and long-term customers. Its account describes an architecture river cruise, a Cubs game, meals, and a visit to its warehouse and offices the next day. The event brought together people managing heavy bladder leaks and caregivers for shared experiences away from their usual routines.

The report also describes hands-on product comparisons, questions with company leaders and an open forum for direct customer feedback. The article dated 28 July 2026 planned a second event for 15–16 August and anticipated more than 40 participants across both weekends. The reported July event is kept separate from that plan: projected attendance is not a confirmed total, and this is not presented as an ongoing event open for booking.

Keeping travel changing supplies close at hand: 2023 guidance

UnderX’s article on urinary incontinence and travel, published on 13 April 2023, describes packing a dedicated carry-on bag with spare diapers, replacement clothing and bags for soiled clothes or used products. It considers journeys by plane or train when larger luggage is stored elsewhere, keeping changing supplies accessible during the trip.

“I tried them too”: how Attento connects advertising with trying absorbent pants

In an announcement dated 1 December 2022, Daio Paper introduced Attento’s Show Window television commercial featuring Tsuyoshi Kusanagi and the launch of its “I tried them too” project. The stated aim was a future in which people could wear absorbent pants more readily. The celebrity’s appearance should be distinguished from evidence of product performance.

The initiative connects advertising with opportunities to try the pants through sampling, then shares people’s voices around a special website. The current brand page also describes the developers’ wish for people to use the products like ordinary underwear. Trial and communication are the mechanisms supporting the manufacturer’s aim of reducing hesitation about wearing them.

It reported a total of $6,200, presented to Northern Illinois Food Bank on 13 October. The campaign connected everyday sports broadcasts with regional food support.

The announcement also presents hearing the words adult diapers in a normal baseball broadcast as part of making incontinence easier to discuss. Its reference to more than $40,000 in groceries uses the Food Bank's stated conversion of $1 donated into $7 worth of groceries; it does not mean NorthShore donated $40,000 in cash. Urine odour around care: laundry, furnishings and toilets

Urine odour in continence care is not addressed by absorbent pads alone. Kao’s 消臭ストロング household range separates laundry, hard-to-wash furnishings or spaces, and toilets as different targets. These are tasks around care, rather than diaper absorption or cleansing the skin.

The Attack laundry gel is presented for underwear and sheets. Kao lists mattresses, curtains and places where diapers are temporarily stored before disposal among examples for its Resesh fabric-and-space spray. Its Toilet Magiclean Shoshu Strong spray addresses the bowl and routine wiping. Washing textiles, treating difficult-to-wash items or spaces, and cleaning toilet surfaces are different steps, even though they sit under the same range.

Kao says the products contain its Urine Odour Blocker EX in the fragrance and describes it as suppressing the activity of enzymes involved in urine-odour formation. This is the manufacturer’s mechanism and performance account, not an independent WDO test in care settings. The range name does not establish direct application to skin, a worn diaper or an absorbent pad.

This selects representative uses from Kao’s pages, not every SKU. The urine-odour-blocker mechanism is attributed to Kao. No direct use on skin, a worn diaper or an absorbent pad is inferred. Product-specific antibacterial, body-odour and duration claims are not extended to the range.

Comfort for the wearer and the caregiver: Relief’s two-sided approach

Kao’s adult-diaper brand Relief says comfort for the person receiving care and the person providing it matters equally. Its stated priority considers both the wearer’s experience and the actions of someone helping them.

The official page illustrates this through two design ideas: thin pants intended to look discreet like underwear, and diapers with finger pockets intended to make putting them on easier for wearers or helpers. These examples express the manufacturer’s aim of reducing hesitation for users and effort for caregivers.

The page also connects explanations of absorbent materials and breathable sheets with putting-on and changing guidance and a consultation contact. Product information is therefore accompanied by resources for choosing and using it. The contact excludes questions about illness; its stated role concerns products and care information.

Its company-wide quality page sets out a multi-stage approach to manufacturing checks: vision systems adjust production processes, inspectors follow checklists, and internal laboratories carry out more detailed testing.

The listed performance factors include moisture retention, liquid distribution within the product, leakage prevention, elastic strength, adhesion and body fit. Rather than simply describing products as high quality, the page identifies processes used to check production and factors evaluated in testing. The adult-care customisation offer and the company-wide inspection approach need to be read within their respective scopes.

The quality description is company-wide; specific retail labels and selected specifications remain unconfirmed. Results and acceptance criteria for individual adult-care items, and third-party certification, have not been verified. It does not establish zero leakage or clinical benefits.

Packaging choices in paper, recycled PE and biobased plastic

Drylock offers packaging options across categories including adult care. Its bag-material claims are separate from the materials inside a diaper.

Packaging choices in paper, recycled PE and biobased plastic

Drylock says paper packaging is available across its product categories, including adult care. Its packaging page states that its plastic bags contain at least 15% recycled material and that it also offers packaging incorporating 100% recycled PE. Biobased plastic packaging is another option. These statements concern the bag, rather than the material composition of the diaper inside.

In its announcement of 21 September 2026, the company reported that all its packaging was reusable, recyclable or compostable. Offering material choices does not identify which adult-care item uses which bag. Nor does the announcement mean that every adult product has switched to paper, or that every package meets all three conditions at once.

Uptake by adult-care item, country and packaging version, and actual collection or recycling rates, remain unverified. Disposal depends on local collection systems, facilities and packaging construction.

Recovering packaging offcuts and reducing production scrap

Drylock’s packaging page describes sending plastic offcuts from its sealing process to bag suppliers for recycling. It states a quantity of up to 20 tonnes each month. This is a route for recovering material left over during manufacturing, rather than collecting products after people have used them.

The company also reports efforts to reduce the amount of scrap generated. Its sustainability page says production scrap in 2023 was 18% lower than in 2020. Keeping the material sent for recycling separate from this past reduction helps explain two different actions: recovering process offcuts and preventing some waste from arising in the first place.

The monthly 20-tonne figure is an upper limit on an undated page, not a current measured average. The 18% reduction concerns 2023. Adult-care-only quantities, recycling yields and collection of used diapers have not been verified.

Electricity sourcing and lower electricity use in manufacturing

On 21 September 2026, Drylock reported that all its production sites worldwide operated on 100% renewable electricity. This is a company-wide statement about the electricity used in manufacturing. It does not mean that a particular adult-care product or factory relies entirely on its own solar generation.

The company also describes reducing electricity use. Its climate-action page gives consumption per 1,000 finished goods as 16.5 kWh in 2020 and 14.3 kWh in 2023. Considering electricity sourcing separately from the amount consumed per unit of output shows two aspects of manufacturing: the origin of the electricity and efforts to use less of it.

The renewable-electricity statement is a manufacturer report and does not cover all energy, including fuels and heat. The generation and procurement mix, product mix, adult-care-specific values and electricity use in 2026 remain unverified.

Reported emissions reductions and targets for 2030

In its announcement of 21 September 2026, Drylock reported reducing Scope 1 and 2 carbon emissions by more than 90% since 2019. This is the company’s account of past emissions reductions. It is not a measure of an individual adult-care product’s emissions across its life, from manufacture through disposal.

Its climate-action page separately sets out targets for 2030 using 2021 as the base year: a 70% reduction in absolute Scope 1 and 2 emissions and a 52% reduction in relative Scope 3 emissions per value added. The latter is an intensity target, not a 52% cut in total Scope 3 emissions. Because the reported result and the targets use different base years, the result alone does not establish that the 2030 targets have been met.

The 2026 report announcement was read, but the linked report, calculation tables and independent assurance were not checked. Details of the Scope 3 denominator and coverage, and formal SBTi validation, remain unverified. These are presented as company reports and targets.
