Ontex reported on April 29, 2026, that adult-care volumes grew by approximately 2% year on year in the first quarter. The detailed table records volume growth of 1.7% and like-for-like revenue growth of 2.3% for the category. The company attributed the increase to continued mid-single-digit expansion in retail and stable demand in the European healthcare channel. Adult-care revenue reached €206.8 million, up 2.2% including currency effects.
At group level, revenue was €426.3 million, down 4% like for like and 5.4% including currency movements. Adult-care growth was outweighed by weaker baby-care demand and an expected decline in contract manufacturing. Adjusted EBITDA was approximately €39 million, with a margin of 9.1%.
Ontex continued to expand adult-care capacity to support future growth while accelerating efficiency measures across the business. It maintained its full-year outlook, including approximately 10% growth in adjusted EBITDA, subject to current market visibility and a gradual easing of the energy crisis. Pricing measures and transport surcharges were intended to help offset higher costs.
