Ontex makes European adult care a focus of its growth strategy

Belgium Ontex

Ontex's July 30, 2026, half-year results set out a restructuring and growth plan that makes European adult care a central investment priority. The company plans to expand capacity, develop products and strengthen routes to market, with the aim of growing adult-care volumes faster than the market.

Adult-care revenue in the first half was €410 million, up 1% year on year. Ontex reported solid demand through European healthcare channels, while retail volumes were more subdued. Across continuing operations, adjusted EBITDA fell to €78.1 million from €86.2 million a year earlier. Higher input costs and a more volatile market led the company to revise full-year adjusted EBITDA guidance to €165–180 million.

The wider plan prioritises profitability in North America and a more selective approach to European baby and feminine care. Ontex also raised its cumulative savings target to €240 million by the end of 2028, including an additional €40 million, and established a Transformation Management Office to coordinate implementation.
