Livedo renews Speed Catch pads

Japan LiveDo Corporation

Livedo announced a renewal of its professional Refre Speed Catch Pad series on April 1, 2026. It says an improved rapid-absorption sheet reduces liquid remaining on the surface after urination by 40% compared with its previous product, based on the company's own comparison. The update also changes the backsheet design to make the pad's direction easier to recognise during fitting. Speed Catch Pad Light is excluded.

The company connects the changes to increasing demand for large pads in hospitals and care facilities seeking fewer changes and reduced burdens on wearers and staff. It explains that repeated absorption during longer use can leave liquid at the surface, affecting absorption and contributing to concerns about leakage and skin contact. Other features include slits that spread urine forwards and backwards, standing gathers that follow the groin area, a mildly acidic surface and a centre line for positioning and recognising direction. The renewed products were scheduled for April 1, with the changeover taking place as stocks of the previous versions were exhausted.
