Woolchemy and BCNonwovens announced a collaboration on May 19, 2026 to scale up neweFlex, a hygiene-nonwoven platform combining processed wool with plant fibres. Intended uses include acquisition and distribution layers, or ADLs, and wipe materials, across baby care, feminine hygiene and incontinence products.
Woolchemy says the agreement follows an initial manufacturing trial at BCNonwovens and subsequent testing. The Spanish manufacturer also described the partnership in a June 2 announcement.
The partners plan further customer trials and commercial evaluations before a possible supply agreement. This is a materials scale-up collaboration, not an announcement that a named adult diaper containing the material has launched.
