Unicharm launches a Lifree cleansing foam for institutional care

Japan Unicharm Lifree

Unicharm announced Lifree Cleansing Foam SkinCondition on June 19, 2026, with a mid-June launch for hospitals and care facilities across Japan. The company developed the foam to reduce preparation and cleanup during intimate cleansing care, citing staff shortages and the work involved in preparing shower bottles, adjusting water temperature, and dismantling and disinfecting equipment afterward.

The pump dispenses a dense foam that can be wiped away without rinsing. Unicharm says the formulation turns into liquid on contact with skin and soiling, helping it penetrate and loosen deposits for removal with gentle wiping. The company also says dispensing foam reduces the risk of liquid splashing during cleansing.

The formula includes Phellodendron bark extract for moisturizing and Lipidure as a skin-protection ingredient. Available formats are a 600 ml bottle and a 2,000 ml refill, both with open pricing. The release identifies the product as a professional-use item and says ordinary retail-store sales were not planned at that time.
