Oji Nepia redesigns five Nepia Tender absorbent pads

Japan Oji Nepia

Oji Nepia announced a redesign of five Nepia Tender absorbent pads on January 14, 2026. The range comprises daytime and long-wear pads plus three nighttime variants. Four were scheduled for national launch on January 21; the nighttime variant named Motto Ooi was scheduled for February 27. The company developed the changes around feedback from care settings about skin contact and fitting difficulties.

A central absorbent core concentrates material near the crotch to limit urine spreading across the pad. Oji Nepia says the Futsuu and Ooi nighttime models are up to eight centimetres shorter than previous pads with comparable stated absorbency. Slits in the core help the pad fit between legs that are difficult to open, including those affected by contractures. Wavy side cuts and arrow markings assist positioning, while breathable backing and mildly acidic surface materials are intended to support skin care; the daytime pad is excluded from the mildly acidic feature. The release also says production of the renewed range moves to the Nagoya factory as the Fujinomiya factory closes in January.
