Oji Nepia announced three Nepia Tender nighttime pads on May 14, 2026, with a phased Japanese launch starting May 28. The Ultra, Extra and Kore Ichimai models were developed around overnight skin care, leakage control and easier positioning, drawing on feedback from care facilities.
The pads combine a sheet over the buttock area, a central core that concentrates absorption near the crotch, and a surface structure designed to allow watery stool to reach the absorbent material. In the company's comparison using the Ultra model, adding the buttock-care sheet reduced urine rewet by about 70% compared with the same pad without that sheet. An embossed surface and breathable outer sheet are intended to release heat and moisture. Slits in the core help the pad fit between legs that are difficult to open, including those affected by contractures. Oji Nepia says its counsellors' facility visits and staff feedback informed the development of the three products.
