Yuhan-Kimberly announced Depend Style Derma Skin pants in South Korea on August 28, 2026, together with a renewed Depend Style Underwear range. Its first derma-care line changes the skin-contact materials and absorbent pad construction, addressing concerns about skin irritation, bulk and visibility beneath clothing.
The company describes a softer cover and flexible absorbent pad. It reports a 4.7-fold improvement in its skin-friction measure compared with its previous product, using its own test method. It also reports a 20% reduction in thickness while maintaining absorbency and a fivefold improvement in rewetting under its own comparative test.
The release says the skin-contact materials received a sensitive-skin assessment from Germany's Dermatest, citing an initial irritation test involving 30 people with sensitive skin and a one-week use test involving 10. Its reported 99% odour reduction refers specifically to ammonia testing by FITI. A prelaunch consumer survey favoured the new product over the earlier underwear by 70 to 30, according to Yuhan-Kimberly.
